  Mission -- The South Florida Transplant Alliance is a group of organizations working together to raise awareness about Organ, Eye, Tissue Donation and Transplantation. Our mission is to educate and inform the community about the need for organ transplantation, the importance of registering to be a donor and making a difference throughout the organ donation and transplant communities.
 

Purpose -- The successes of transplant medicine and other medical advances bring an ever growing population of patients to South Florida. The resulting diversity and number of nonprofit organizations associated with the organ / tissue transplant community has grown significantly over the last ten years.  We have organized an Alliance to better assist organ transplant and donor families; and help reduce duplication in servicing their needs. This Alliance will:
 
  • Present a consistent public voice about the facts and myths concerning organ and tissue transplantation.
  • Assist member organizations with resources and professional guidance to promote and support organ donor registries.
  • Support member programs which recognize accepted policies, practices and sources of information.
